Worship – Worship at APC Int’l is more than just a song. Reverential worship to our creator is our lifestyle of commitment that doesn’t end with our Sunday morning congregational gathering. Worship is our chosen way of life! Our coming together every week is simply to draw strength in God’s presence to be better believers in Christ – modeling Christ life. Our Sunday morning worship is actually cells and celebration coming together in a holy synergy to empower the people for a holy Christian living. Our public Sunday worship commenced in December 2014 with ten adults and seven children but has now grown to over forty adults (teenagers inclusive) and well over thirty children within three years of ministry operation. We attribute this growth largely to our small group activities that commenced in July 2014.
Home Cell Groups Fellowship – Life at APC begins, continues, and ends with our small groups activities. We live in constant fellowship to help one another grow-up in the fear of God and in reaching out to our immediate community for Christ and especially in practical reaching-out-in-love exercises. Activities of our life groups are usually fun as we discuss the Bible, pray and eat together as one family in Christ. We are blessed with three categories; Adult Life Groups; Single Groups (The Ambassadors), and Kids Groups. Please, if you wish to join any of our Life Group, simply contact our Life Group Centre. Also contact our Life Group Centre should you need Small Group developmental training for your church leadership.
Development & Outreach (D&O) is our ministry arm that gives our fullest expression of the burning passion of our hearts at APCI to meet the holistic needs of the people of God in the church, and our immediate community in order to win them over to the Lord. The Apostle Paul admonished that we should do good especially to the household of faith. Jesus also taught that we must care for needy people in so doing we are indirectly ministering to Him. The following Scripture passage best expresses our motivation:
“Then I, the King, shall say to those at my right, ‘Come, blessed of my Father, into the Kingdom prepared for you from the founding of the world. For I was hungry and you fed me; I was thirsty and you gave me water; I was a stranger and you invited me into your homes; naked and you clothed me; sick and in prison, and you visited me.’ “Then these righteous ones will reply, ‘Sir, when did we ever see you hungry and feed you? Or thirsty and give you anything to drink? Or a stranger, and help you? Or naked, and clothe you? When did we ever see you sick or in prison, and visit you?’ “And I, the King, will tell them,
‘When you did it to these my brothers you were doing it to me!’ Mat. 25: 34-40 (TLB)
Our D & O ministry arm focuses on the following areas of needs – food, clothing, education and vocational trainings. We trust the Lord to help us identify other areas of our needs. Not that we are taking over the function of God as Jehovah Jireh but trust that He will use us as His instruments to faithfully distribute His resources to the down-trodden in our society. We don’t wish to present Africa or any third world nation in poor light but the facts indicate “that over 113 Million people in Nigeria live on less than $1 a day”- Nigeria Bureau of Statistics (Punch Newspaper 15th July, 2014). This has negatively affected the socio-economic life our people. We truly need God’s intervention and good spirited people to assist in this area.
Trainings
Training/Equipping of Believer – We at APCI long to fulfill the mandate of our Lord Jesus Christ by making disciples of all nations.
We seek to train and set ablaze the faith of men and women for the Lord, Releasing them after training to pursue their God given purposes on earth. For this very reason, God, has called and chosen us. Our tool for equipping will be the teachings of Home cells/small group principle and other fundamental doctrines of God’s word.
“And Samson went and caught three hundred foxes, and took firebrands, and turned tail to tail, and put a firebrand in the midst between two tails. And when he had set the brands on fire, he let them go into the standing corn of the Philistines, and burnt up both the shocks, and also the standing corn, with the vineyards and olives”. Judges 15:4-5 (KJV). We are seriously working at this by starting at our home front. The picture of Samson tying the tales of two foxes and putting fire on their tails remains indelible on our minds and we seek to pursue this with passion.
By God’s grace we have taken this training into several states of Nigeria, Egypt, South Africa, Liberia, Kenya and Ghana.
